John D. Silva, Los Angeles pioneering television engineer, has passed away on Nov 27, 2012 at age 92.

Wm George Tokar a former STE member passed away October 2, 2012 after a short illness, he was 97 years old. George began his career in 1936 working for Earl C Anthony at what eventually became KFI radio. When Mr. Anthony started KFI-TV, which later became  KHJ-TV, and now KCAL, he asked George to move over and become a television engineer. George retired from KHJ in 1979.
